Due to several members of my spouse's family creeping around the internet and trying to find things to use against me, including anything I have posted on this website, I asked for my posts to be un-published. I have also changed my name in order to hopefully put a firebreak in any trail they have been following.
For my friends here, I know that is confusing and I apologize. I guess there's no accounting for the assholes in this world. To those involved in this - people who live in glass houses should be very careful about throwing stones. Otherwise they just might find their homes and lives crumbling down around them.

But good luck with them, had similar problems with inlaws many, many moons ago. Luckily the wife (now ex) convinced them it was not a good idea to screw around with a guy that had marksman medals in both pistol and rifle, ex-military special forces, was very good with demolitions and owned a WW2 Russian sniper rifle.

I too, live in the lone star state, My family has had roots here since before its own revolution and later joining the Union.
And too many use religion to preach there bigoted hate. And what pisses me off the most is the court tends to side with them at least at the state level.

I am actually god smacked that the first act of the new state senate is a bathroom bill just like the failed one in South Carolina, I feel so ashamed at times to call my self a Texan.

I have a question for you then. Have you, at the least, sent an email to your local state rep. letting him/her know that you strongly discourage voting for anything that bigoted? If not, then why complain?
I've given my reps an earful before. I need to make a personal appointment and hand over a list of what I'd like to see put forth as bills.

The problem I have is i am in the minority when it comes to my views in this area, There was not even a competitor for my state senate district. It was republican or no one. And sadly most people in this district are hard core republican in all ways, Social and economically conservative. I may be economically conservative but I am much more socially progressive.
