Been awhile since I read any of her works, but after reviewing the titles of Janet Stickney at FictionMania, my recollection is that her stories tend to involve maneuvering a teenage boy, often with the help or directly by the parents, in the feminine direction. Sometime these boys are curious about the path to begin with, but usually they do not fight against the result too heavily.

With that concept defined, it is important to start with a list of questions, similar to the start of any story:

1. How long do you want the story to be?
2. Who will be the driving force behind the change (mother, sister, aunt, employer...)?
3. What will be the incentive to cause the change (punishment, trickery, curiosity...)?
4. The boy (age, appearance, background, setting)?
5. Is the boy curious to begin with, how much will he fight it? Will he accept it in the end?
6. What will be done to change him (clothing, reversible, non-reversible...)?
7. What is the moment of unveiling? Is it humiliating, wonderful? Do people laugh, or like him more?

There are surely more questions, to consider, but answering these may provide a good start.

I too have always been a big fan of Janets' stories and would love to read new adventures along the same theme. Even have thought of a few story lines if you get blocked. Good luck.
