A week ago today I voted. Did You? Will you? If you don't you deserve the fools that got elected. Just to show you how civic minded my grandfather was he voted in the 1960 election. He died in 1958. Please don't tell me what fools you did choose.

with my feet.

I voted with my feet and left the country many years ago. Best decision I ever made.

Voted way back...

When early voting started in my state. It was for neither of the two front runners.

Same for me as Starfox

Go Green Party! Save the Earth from another mega-extinction event!

With a lot of help. Mailed it in.Stil lflat on my back.

I did a mail-in absentee ballot.

So my paper ballot was counted and I didn't fear the machine.

I'm in a NON-Swing State so I did a write-in as hearing about Stein's shenanigans that Ms.Curry was complaining about predating the Green Party Convention I could NOT vote for that ticket either.
If the election was based on the popular vote rather than the Electoral college my vote would be different.

I just on Channel 4 am

I just on Channel 4 am watching My Trans American Road Trip wow hard core. Some of them in the South are oh dear. I think if you live in San Fran ok but these Southern states are oh dear not trans friendly at all.I am glad I live in the UK.if Trump gets in it would be like Gen Buck Turginson from Doctor Strangelove getting in. Stock up on can good in the bunker and shotguns. There are some people who are trying to help transgender but some of them. You may get the odd one in uk get funny but not like this. The Church lot there are nuclear.

Unenthusiastically

Yes I voted early. But none of the candidates seem to have any viable plan to move forward. Most campaigning seems to be vilifying the opposition, and accusing the other side of lying. Seems hard to imagine how we will ever move forward together.

Platforms.

Well, there is "Tuition-Free College" on the DNC platform as well as many other nice pieces. I don't like that one piece of Bernie's platform is missing, but as Meatloaf sings "2 out of 3 ain't bad".
Conversely, on the Republican side, you have a platform advocating conversion therapy for Gay people and "No Gay Marriage" at the very least.

Was your grandfather from

Was your grandfather from Chicago? ;)

I have only one actual race going on in my area, that of the chief jailer...I mean sheriff. The elected offices on the ballot are either unopposed or in the case for President, ridiculously lopsided. The three ballot questions that matter to me are tight so I might make a difference there but my past tells me that what I usually oppose or support ends up having the opposite occur...

I'm told STFU more times in a day than most people get told in a lifetime

I voted for the lesser of two evils

but honestly I stopped seeing this as anything more than a joke when that one guy got up in the convention and said the other candidate was a devil worshiper. That just gave me horrible flashbacks to the nineties, when Marlena got possessed by the devil in Days of Our Lives. Well at least there haven't been any evil twins or people faking their deaths yet.

Wish

Oh, how I wish that they would put a "None Of The Above" box on the ballot. If enough people checked that box, maybe we would get better choices.

Nevada has None of the Above on the ballot. :)

Nevada

But we both live in California. Seventeen state-wide propositions on the ballot, plus several more local ones! Oy veh!

I voted!

I have voted most of my adult life. Now, being stuck I this nursing home temporarily, the county election commission sends two people to conduct early absentee voting. I have my "I voted" sticker proudly displayed on the cover of my laptop. This is my country and I pledge allegiance to our flag; as Lee Greenwood said: "... and I'll gladly stand up, next to you, and defend her still today, cause there ain't no doubt, I Iove this land. God bless the USA". Yes, I voted, and not saying who I voted for, just know that I voted my conscience.

With confidence and forbearance, we will have the strength to move forward.

Of Course!

This is a historic occasion, and I wouldn't miss it for the world.

I'm frankly flabbergasted at the comments here. I've never been so disappointed in a group of people I voluntarily hang around. Especially with so many who feign a special attachment to things feminine, they wouldn't cast their vote for our first woman President? Please don't respond. I'm done with this conversation. Next subject, please...

I realize you said you were done

But I am curious. Did you vote for Sarah Palin to be the first the Female Vice President? Or if you are old enough, for Geraldine Ferraro to be the first female VP.

Besides, the Green Party Candidate is also a woman.

PS: I wouldn't vote for HRC if she was running against Satan, which she might be.
PPS: I wouldn't vote for The Donald if he was running against Satan, which he might be.
