I'm almost 100% certain it is not here on BCTS.
I remember coming across a website and/or story on the web several years ago that was a super-hero type story. The difference was the person didn't gain their powers (kinda like a cross between Superman and Firestorm - sorta) until after they had suffered an accident that left them a full paraplegic.
I remember it was a woman hero who could fly and when in costume she would ALWAYS be hovering above the ground because her legs were paralyzed and useless.
I can't seem to find that site/story now and was hoping someone here remembers it and has a link to or copy of it?

But that's not the one.
The one I can't seem to find has the heroine definitively as a paraplegic. Their "mild mannered" identity uses a wheelchair to get around, and in their hero ID is always flying due to the paralysis. And if I were to try and place the location and time frame "era" of the story line (what I can remember) in comparison to comic-book age I would place it in the late Silver-age or slightly after, and definitely in a big city setting.
Yea, I have a pretty good memory for things that catch my interest - EXCEPT for names. Frustrating as heck when I want to go back and locate something again. It would be SO much easier if I could remember the characters name!
