Additional paperwork...
After work I went home and got cleaned up. Had to take a quick trip back into work as it would appear that I left the plant with my Team Leader's ID badge still hooked to my skirt. :) Went back home to find the best place for me to go to take care of my SS card. Ruled out Springfield and Holyoke MA so I took a drive to where I used to live and went to the SSA Office in Fitchburg. Spent an hour there and got my receipt stating that I would receive my new card in my new name in a few weeks. Went from there to the Registry of Motor Vehicles in Leominster MA and in about an hour I was walking out the door with my temp licence with my PROPER name and gender marker of female. :) Drove back to Amherst MA and then corrected my Bank info at my bank. Now my big priorities are waiting for my new SSN card and permanent licence so my Employer can correct their file on me. Get my VA information updated with my correct name and gender. See the local VSO about getting a corrected version of my DD 214. Filing with the State of New York for an amended version of my Birth Certificate showing my correct name and gender. :)
