I started back work last Monday. I have a paper route that pays like my last but is less papers and no apartments. So I can recoup the money I lost while in the hospital. The problem is, I'm always tired. It is getting to me. I can't do anything. Felix loads my car for me because I can't stand to wait for the truck. I got like a half hour that I can stay on my feet, so waiting for an undetermined truck time is not a good idea.
I don't know what to do. My stamina isn't getting better and it's getting to me. I just lay in bed all day, sleeping or putzing on facebook. I am writing a little each day (1000 words a day), but feel unfulfilled. I am not living. My house is a wreck. my life is a wreck. When will things get better?

I didn't spend as much time in the hospital as you did; however, it took nearly a year to make any semblance of a recovery after spending nearly a month. I was unable to eat the entire time - not one of my greater experiences.

how good are you with computers?
I know companies like apple hire people to work from home all they need is a phone and a decent internet connection. at least 6 meg down and 1 meg up. if you are good with people over the phone they are looking for people to basically act as the Tier 1 support for apple care. other companies are also doing it now as well. So if you are god at those that might be a job for you, sitting in a conferrable chair at home working at a computer and phone. I would be doing it but I can not get a affordable internet connection that fits the requirements. If I was willing to pay 500-1500 a month for a fiber business connection I could get it but I do not have that kind of money, I really need a lottery win.

Like others have said, after what you went through, it may take quite some time to recover. A complete set of blood labs might be in order, including thyroid and vitamin levels.

I've enjoyed much of your work, and feel a certain kinship with you, so I must write.
I underwent triple bypass surgery on the last day of September, followed about three weeks later by what they call an eschemic storm, blood clots from my ankles migrating up to my lungs to make it almost impossible to breath at all. Then a few weeks ago there was the bleeding ulcer that caused enough loss of blood to knock me the rest of the way on my ass.
Every procedure has left me more tired, to the point of having to rest several times while walking up or down the single flight of low riser stairs in our house. Shortness of breath and chest pain are what cause me to rest.
I went to see the gastro whatever she is today. Once again I heard, " It will take a year to recover from this problem". Depression is hitting me pretty hard at this point, as it feels like forever till I'm better.
I can't tell you how tired I am! Another 8 months until my chest surgery will reduce my fatigue. Another nine months until I can stop taking the blood thinners that reduce my useful work day to about three hours separated by long naps. Another eleven months until recovery from the ulcer will allow me not to be a useless invalid.
Oddly enough, reading of your problems made me feel better. It made feel less alone in my struggle. You, my friend, are also not alone. There are many of us out there struggling with similar problems. Your post made me realize this, for which I thank you. Thoughts of suicide had become constant companions. Now, not so much.
So, though it sounds like a platitude, Don't give up! You can lick this! All it will take is time. I'll keep trying if you will!
