I found this a while ago and have tried it a couple of times and each time, it gets better. I thought I would share it with you all.

Ingredients:
1 large onion (Walla Walla Sweet, Vidalia are best), chopped
1 tbsp. sweet Hungarian paprika
Salt to taste
1-1 1/2 cups water
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 cup olive oil
2-3 lbs. boneless chicken breasts
1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
1 cup sour cream

Directions:

In a medium sauce pan, saute onion in hot oil until tender, but do not brown. Add paprika and stir to coat onions, again do not allow to brown or burn.

Add chicken, salt, pepper and water. Cover and cook over medium heat for one hour, or until meat is tender.

Remove chicken with slotted spoon. Set aside and keep warm. Add flour to sour cream and blend well. Add to liquid in sauce pan. Stir over low heat until smooth and mixture thickens (be careful not to boil or mixture will curdle).

Return chicken to sauce and cook over low heat until flavors incorporate.

Serve over cooked noodle or dumplings.

One thing I found that sort of works really good is when the chicken is added back to the sauce is to break up the breasts into smaller pieces. Instead of having larger pieces that you have to sort of dig for, you have it spread out in the sauce in smaller bite sized pieces and is spread out through the sauce. The taste is incredible and I will guarantee that there won't be any left-overs.

Good luck and good eating.
