A document from the UK government about the law as it stands for transgender customers and the requirements of the law to businesses providing services to them such as shops or banks. It's written in very simple language and shows that discrimination direct or otherwise is illegal against a person with a protected characteristic of gender reassignment, viz moi. (And there's me thinking I was just an ordinary woman these days - another illusion shattered).

Legal jargon…
… has always been a law unto itself. How about a protected characteristic of being a dormouse a.k.a. hazel dormouse a.k.a. ……. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
If it gets too much Angharad I suggest you go to that beach in Wales shown in The Prisoner and shout to the heavens, "I am not a person with a protected characteristic of gender reassignment, I am a free woman!"

I did it in the garden
the other day, the cats were well impressed before they sent for the men in white coats.

Reassurance
This guide does not apply to you Angharad as you were assigned female at birth - a fact which is verified I assume by your Birth Certificate. Mine actually says 'Girl' under the box 'Sex' which I guess explains why I sometimes have trouble acting like a mature woman.
The guide outlines I imagine legislation that organisations must comply with when encountering those in transition.

Mine says girl, too.
Glad you explained what that meant. It also describes why I (too frequently) sometimes act like a six year old.
