just got back from the doctors the pain in my right shoulder is a small subdural hemotoma, better known as bursitis.
treatment, cortisone steroid shot, repeat if needed.
my mom had the same problem, from 1968 until 2000. every month a cortisone shot. in 2000 it had solidified enough for them to operate and remove it.

the worst is when I stretch to ease the tension in my chest and shoulders, that kills with the pain.

Bursitis
Not a lot of fun, familiar with it after having my right arm dislocated. Cortisone is lovely, but you might want to look into some nuero-muscular therapy instead or with it. Lots of insurances pay for it as well now a days.
Be sure to drink lots of water as well.

I just can't stand needles at all, so getting the shot into my right shoulder, right into the socket, is noot something I'm wanting to experience.
My doc has referred me to the sports medicine clinic where they del with this type of thing more often. Those doctors will make their own decision on treatment, even though the gp is recommending the cortisone.

Needles
Like most people I used to be afraid of needles, but just recently I've had so many that I just got over it. I've had so many blood tests taken over the last two years that I'm sometimes referred to as "the dartboard".
When it comes right down to it, you do what you have to do. It's like giving birth to a baby: it has to happen whether you want it to or not.

my issue
my issue with needles stems from an accident, where I stuck one almost through my hand, between my knuckles, injecting 1/2 cc of penicillin into myself.
I had 7 tubes of blood taken every month for 5 years, I still hate needles. :p
