I am not one to complain about things that I can't control and WILL not complain about the BC authors and the publishing of their work. BUT, I do have a suggestion to those which do have their work published and post the information here at BC. Could you PLEASE post a price or at least an estimate of the cost per title for each title! My idea will allow people to set aside the money even if it's a little bit each week to be able to purchase the works of their favorite author at that site. Thank you for your time and work into creating these works that you ALL have written for your fans that read your works you wish to publish!

Pricing

I'll be sure to remember this when I do publish. I wonder how much I should price Felicia's Second Life. I'm thinking of 2.99 for the basic story and Plus Extras for 4.99. Is that a reasonable sum, I wonder

You are asking the wrong person that

I don't have a clue as to what kind of price to ask for your work and can't give you any ideas. Asking those that have published their work at the various sites that help out BCTS like Katie Leone and others will be an asset as to pricing your work.

Length

It's almost 100,000 words in total. By the time I release it in late January, it would've been edited to death. It's a fantasy genre for young adults/teens. I have an early version of it here.

Ok, I'd keep it at about 2

Ok, I'd keep it at about 2 bucks. If you're going to have an 'extras' book 2.99. Most books that cost more than that on Kindle don't sell much. You want quantity to make up the profit.

2.99

Unfortunately 2.99 for extras won't even cover the cost. The Extra version would include the basic plus maps and illustrations. So assuming that 100 person buys it, it will only barely break even at 4.99.

My $4.99 worth

While most TG fiction stories at Amazon are priced at $2.99, from my own experience my best selling ebooks with one exception have been the ones priced $3.99 or $4.99. If my ebook is 100,000 words in length I'd probably price it $5.99. My best seller is priced $4.99 and is almost 85,000 words in length.

Again, just speaking for myself, longer TG fiction ebooks sell better than short ones. My five best sellers are all in the top 6 of mine length wise. Good luck.
