It happens on some browsers when someone makes a line with repeated characters. Like:

But very very long. On some browsers, this line cannot be broken and forces a wider page.

You had it fixed before my response was posted. Is it a Firefox issue?
Firefox and Safari
Won't always break a long line made with single characters. Some versions of IE will. It's better to draw a long horizontal line with the html tag <hr> which looks like this:
