A short while ago I placed a post here about a story idea that I was mulling around in my head of a single father and his child who is in a m2f transition. I wanted the story to focus more on the father's turmoil of dealing with a 'transitioning' child than with the child itself. I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted to start the story and where I wanted it to end...just no real idea of how to get from 'A' to 'B' so I 'put it out there' and people responded.
I had many, many, incredible comments on how to proceed forward...and have begun to compose a story around a great many of these suggestions. I am taken back as I type because it seems that my muse is well in control and the ideas he/she keeps churning out at such a blistering pace...I can scarce hang on to write. The 'short' story has billowed out and I am now somewhere on the 20th page with no real end in sight.
As soon as I can finish it where I feel it can stand up to my own self imposed 'standards' I will seek out an editor and get it posted here at BCTS. So far, I'm liking what I've created and it is quite different from much of what I have written in the past. Whether it's well received or not...we'll see.
My main reason to post this 'blog' was just to say thank you for all your suggestions and hopefully within the next few weeks, I can get our story 'A Quiet Strength' ready for all to read. - Anon Allsop
