Very welcome news!
My concern is that the school drew much more attention to the girl than her presentation of herself ever would, and that might not be a very good thing, even in this day and age. If adults can be so unreasonable and backward, imagine what ill-educated pre-teens might say and do. I pray sincerely that this sweet girl is allowed to live her life.
Here's a picture of her:

Welcome but sadly...
Here in the US the land of the free home of the brave and all that other fine up standing stuff the discrimenation against the LGBT community is alive and will. Yes we have made enroads into to braking down these outdated feelings, but until there is a true accounting of those who would preach this hate nothing will ever change.
I just hope that the staff and principal of that school follow up on what they have proposed. If not that poor girl is going to pay the price for their falures.
May the peace and happiness of the Goddess keep and protect you
as always your humble outlaw

It Is Not Just the LGBT Communities
Our country still discriminates against Blacks, Asians, Native Americans, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims , Sikhs, and women. It is the same type of prejudice of attempted dominance because "they must conform" or "they must be subjected." And they use violence to achieve their goals. It is almost as bad as before Joe DiMaggio, Jacky Robinson, Brown vs Topeka, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
shalimar, picking up her soap box and walking off the corner and going back home.
Shalimar :(
I hope the young girl does well of course. But let's take a moment to look at what discrimination really is. According to Mr. Webster it means to judge unfairly any person, group of people, "things." Now with that definition in mind, let's take a look at both coast as it were California and New York both have more than one MLB team. Not everybody roots for both teams and more to he point some root for one team and all but hate the other. discrimination takes on many forms and to me in one form or another we are all guilty of it. I'll plead guilty right now. I would rather push my Dodge than drive a Chevy so I discriminate. We all do it is my only point, some are just more outspoken about it than others.
Hope you have a really great day and best wishes to all.
Thanks BC....hope I got it right this time...lol
