after a rough day

Nothing beats a nice bath with only a few candles lighting the room. Soft classical music playing just loud enough to hear and a nice book, the older the book the better;) its great until you lose track of time and fall asleep like I did lastnight. Saying I looked like a prune is an understatement on top of that the water got hella cold and I ruined a book. >:(

I prefer. ..

...Actual books to ebooks, I like the feel of the paper and the smell of the book. Plus when I read on a kindle I tend to get distracted by otherthings....

We're only human ....

Can't offer any solution to "prune-skin" Angharad but the Waterfi Waterproofed Kindle Paperwhite can be submerged down to 210 feet underwater. Although the Waterfi Waterproofed Kindle Paperwhite looks identical to a factory bought Kindle Paperwhite, it's performance isn't. The interior of the device has been completely insulated to form a barrier around all of the sensitive electronic components, allowing you to take your library places no books have gone before.

That said my place has papers hanging up drying everywhere because I got caught out in a cloudburst having forgotten my umbrella....

I doubt it would withstand

I doubt it would withstand that much depth (e-ink displays are rather brittle, and I don't think it would stand to 6 times more than usual outside pressure), and I have my questions about buttons/connectors survivability, but it will probably seal it against accidental water spills.

It surprised me but.....

..... if you follow the link (copying the URL if necessary) you will find a genuine New Zealand advertisement with video which presumably complies to the NZ trade description laws. As you point out 6 atmospheres is very significant so there probably are no air pockets within the seal. The button is probably not a problem but the connector waterproofing would be a challenge

Sounds nice

But, no wine as well to help ease the tension. Oh well, it sounds like a night well spent!

Well...

... I do enjoy a nice cup of wine just as much as the next gal, sadly im only 18 and if my rents cought me with wine they would have a bitchfit and I would be grounded till I was 32, lolz.

Heh. While I was growing up,

Heh. While I was growing up, we had a completely unlocked liquor cabinet. I never touched the stuff (allergic to alcohol), but even my brother never drank much - we had it available from the time we were... 12? 8?

The only time my parents got upset was when my brother finished off my father's Crown Royal without letting him know it needed to be replaced. (That was one bottle, in six years)

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
