Back in the'70s a children's television show, Magpie, did an April Fools item about a new product that was claimed would help people: Dehydrated Water Tablets, just add water.

Thank you for your email regarding our Dehydrated Water. It is a patented product and we began "manufacturing" it in the 1960's when space flights began. I am not sure if it qualifies as a collectable item but we do receive emails such as yours from time to time. If you would like to purchase more, please call our Customer Service Department at 800-323-3663.

That's from another site, and it's not the most recent, but it makes sense. I mean, they have edietshop.com for mail order, so selling that separately isn't a reach.

Our can sizes on this gag gift have changed through the years but our "product" inside is as good quality as ever!
