I'm educated to post-graduate level. I've been using the Internet since 1998. I know how to navigate websites.
But the only information I can access this evening is a list of subscribers with similar names to mine. Every button I click leads me back to the same page.
There's bound to be something I've missed. I don't care. I'm not interested any more.
Except that I'd love to have seen you in your 'demure' phase, Bev.

I got the same as the other commenters, a Facebook login. Now I refuse to use Facebook anyway as I regard it as an invitation to invade someone's privacy. The regular email channels already provide too much information on the unwary in my opinion. A friend demonstrated to me how my sending a photo taken from where I lived could locate my exact position on the face of the earth and be turned through 180 degrees to give a view of my dwelling.
Thus I am utterly suspicious of all so-called social media.

( plactiss speaking Chinese, because it is langiage of Zukumpft - it velly difficult 4 O-eyes to do. Leaves me confused, like Confucious.) :)

I steer well clear of such things. I remember an advert put out on Facebook, asking 'members' if they spoke another language and, if so, could help translate some of the FB material. In smaller print was the declaration that any such work would remain the exclusive property of, er, Facebook.

Sorry, I can't get it either.
I use FB occasionally, mainly to try to publicise my books, but I am getting more and more hacked off with the site.
I would also question whether demure is ever an apt description of Bev. I'm sure there are loads of adjectives that would apply, but is demure one of them?

my wife put facebook on this computer and i have had nothing but trouble
loads of pop-ups and other intrusive actions therefore i don't go there

I have 4 accounts on F B ,1 for family , 1 I use for BCTS , 1 for work issues and I don't know what the other 1 is for LOL
also set privacy high and don't do any games :-(

BC is the closest thing to 'social media' I will touch. I don't do chat here and will not do PM anymore thus my GR status.
