He regrets it

I am watching Fox & Friends Weekends here at work, and they were doing a story about a high school that got rid of white graduation gowns for girls and blue for boys, and after a vote by the students went with maroon for everyone. While discussing this Clayton Morris one of the hosts brought up Facebook and their addition of all the variant genders and orientations they added. Something that at the time he said some disparaging things about. Well today he said the he regrets what he said about that and that he can understand why someone that is intersexed (although he doesn't understand what that is) or is transgendered (I'm paraphrasing) would be uncomfortable having to identify as member of the wrong gender. The female cohost was agreeing with him, while the other male host (a sub for Tucker Carlson) was talking about it being a waste of time for a few people. Clayton Morris then corrected him that is was a lot of people. The male cohost (I am horrible with remembering names) seemed surprised that it was a lot, and that was reaffirmed as accurate, he then paused and looked thoughtful while trying to segue to the next bit about the Oscars by joking about whether or not their should be Oscars for actor and actress.

Mr. Morris' statement of regret, which was repeated multiple times, seemed very genuine and it seemed that he had either educated himself or been educated by someone about the issue.
