Hi everyone!

For those of you who like my stories, or my writing or just me as a person, I thought I'd let you know that I just finished my latest novel at 5 am this morning. Finally! It's a novel that topped out just shy of 76 thousand words. The story is called Trios. It's urban fantasy set mostly in Yorkshire, England.

I'm American but my wife is from the area of Yorkshire that I wrote about. I visited her there many times before we married so I know the area and culture fairly well. Plus I have my wife to help me on some of it. I hope you Brits out there enjoy my attempt to write about some of your culture.

I used an outline this time and I have to say that an outline of some form is a must for writing longer stories. My outline turned into a bunch of disjointed scenes but I think it helped overall. I tried a simple text editor to start with. It didn't work all that well so then I tried the Stickies application on the Mac. Stickies are meant to be like post-it notes and they worked much better for me. I used one Stickie for each of my last three chapters. I'll keep outlining my longer stories and I expect to continue to improve.

My story still needs a little proofreading. I'll be trying to go over it today. I'm sure I'll miss some typos though. Sorry in advance! I expect to post the first chapter tomorrow and I'll post two or three chapters a week until all 18 chapters have been posted.
