In another thread a couple of people seemed to toss Dr. Seuss away like stale bread.
I love Dr. Seuss and once tried to write using his rules.

Wow, I'm sorry I missed that
Wow, I'm sorry I missed that first time around. That was a very skillful piece, very hard to pull off.
It gives me an idea. I wonder if authors would like to participate in a Dr. Seuss story challenge, to write a TG themed story after the style of the famed Doctor S?
(edit: I see that's part of Melanie Ezell's Ultimate Writer's Challenge 2014!)

I never SAID there was anything wrong with Theodore Geisel
I just said that - I - wasn't a fan. I also thought I was quite clear, that I believe there is room in this world and even here on BC for people of various tastes. (Even if they are wrong. hee hee hee)

Nevermore
Poe Dr. Seuss. Do you suppose he was doing cocaine?

Nevermore
I seriously doubt he was doing cocaine. He just had a cog with to few teeth to mesh with the gears. I read those books to my kids so many times, I can almost recite them from memory still!

Green Lame'
I love to wear my green lame'
I love to wear it, I say I say
I'll wear it to a fancy ball
I might wear it anywhere at all
I don't like when I get caught
get caught not wearing what I ought
jersey sweats and colored tees
wearing drab's the way to please
So now I lay me down to rest
to dream of just what I love best
and if I pass ere' night is through
bury me in green lame' won't you?

Green Lames?
We had white lames and grey lames and sort of brownish lames on our farm . . . but no green lames.
