Okay, on the front page of the site, on the right hand side, normally I have a control panel that says "Joy Phillip" and has links to my messages, places like my account settings, my stories and more. I check there daily to see if there is anything new.
Yesterday it disappeared.
I came back today and it's still not there. It is present if I go to a story, a blog post or some other page, but not on the front page.
I went into my account settings (where you can select what you see when you are logged in) and turned on things I thought might be it, turned off other things (hoping that the change would prompt it to refresh and show) with no luck.
Help!!!

Minor problem...
I have no idea why it disappeared, but you can access the same information by simply scrolling down to your name in the list of online users and selecting your name. On the one hand, the information is redundant, since it's easily accessed, but it is or was hanbdy from time to time. Perhaps it will be changed again. It certainly leaves a bit more room for other things without scrolling, so the tradeoff may be reasonable.

Had to look and realized I had it missing too. Bad part is I never noticed it was missing till I saw this blog

Even stranger, I don't have that on main page, but when I go to a story or blog it is there

Something else, maybe related
I also noticed the absence of the user control links today. I have to go to Blogs or something else to get it - which makes two wasted page loads. It also makes it difficult to log out from the Home Page.
But there is something else going on here - when you get to Blogs the white line of links at top right is missing! Only the blue line is left (default scheme).
My workflow when using BCTS tends to be Log in -> My Account -> Track -> Blogs -> Forums -> Home page -> read stuff -> Log out. The absence of those links probably doubles the page loads I have to make.
Things have been flakey lately
I hadn't said anything, wanted to let Erin enjoy her time off, but my connection has been sporadic. Like last night, probably between 10:30 and 11:30 CDT the site quit working for me. Just a plain black bold message saying Unable to connect to this site, may be down for maintence, or words to that effect. Its usually at least 2-3 hours before I can get back on. This has happened at least a half dozen times in the last 4-6 days. I can connect to other sites just fine.

We do have a problem server side
and will be working on it with the servers down at some point soon. It's a royal pain and has to be done. But it requires Erin to be home to fix it so it will have to wait until after her trip.
It is possible the problem that we are aware of is causing your issue and several others - including site slowness. In fact, I am willing to bet it is. So we will get to it :)

The server is NOT broken.
The issue is NOT on the server side, atleast not on our server.
As best I can tell it's an "occasional" error caused with the CloudFlare caching layer. Generally the FASTEST way to fix it is to log-out and log back in.
Simple fixes, are usually best.

Um now my "Beyogi" Box on the
Um now my "Beyogi" Box on the homepage is missing. And only the homepage. Right now I can access it.
I mean this menu:
Box is back
I had been logged out, and when I logged back in, the admin box is there again.
So, I'd suggest that anyone having the same problem log out of the TopShelf site, close the browser window, clear the internet cache (however you do it for your browser), then come back to the site and log back in.
Should do it.
