Working on the assumption that if even one user takes pleasure from these tunes then they were worth the trouble of linking to, here's a song for Richard Brookbank/Ruth Pattison and another for Peter Stokes's dad.
'The Cinema Show' is my favourite track of all time. If you haven't heard it before I warn you that at about 2:45 you may begin to experience emotions you'll never be able to communicate for the rest of your life. You'll know what they are, you just won't be able to tell anyone about them. I've tried for 40 years so I should know. Anyway, this is for Richard/Ruth.
'Blood On The Rooftops' is another Genesis track. It's about a generation that was slowly coming to realise that it was losing touch, and no longer had the energy to keep up. In a way it's quite heartbreaking.
I wonder if there really is more earth than sea? Guess I'll never know...

The Genesis Project
I am not too big a Genesis fan, so I don't know the song, "The Cinema Show," or I thought I didn't.
Moe-Moe has a bootleg copy of "The Genesis Piano Project" that a friend of hers gave her a couple of years ago. It's made up of a bunch of hauntingly beautiful, and exuberant piano pieces, and one of the pieces is called "The Cinema Show". I went on YouTube and found out that they are actually piano arrangements of Genesis songs! (I thought "Genesis Piano Project" was a bible reference, when in fact it was referring to the band!) If it's actually for sale, I suggest you get a copy - it's pretty great.

Those guys can play! I have one or two minor quibbles about the arrangement, but as this is my favourite ever track I would have, wouldn't I?
I've always this would make the set-up to a fantastic tg story. One day I'll have enough confidence in my ability to produce an alternate version of it.

Is there more Earth than sea? There is if you consider Earth as a planet; massive and full of iron-nickel. The oceans are a thin skin of moisture; at most 10 or so Km deep. That's a small number compared to our radius of about 6400 Km. Even just considering water vs the rock, dirt, etc. of the Earth's crust to a depth that is available to people, there is more crust.
