Hatbox Updated! New Premium Story!

The sidebar with the kitty has been updated for April, we've already raised $690 dollars for this month's goal. And, we have a new story in the Hatbox Premium directory, Angela Rasch donated a story called "Alleviate Suffering." Here's the blurb:

Jim and Heather had formed an eight-step pact during high school. They would attend Vanderbilt together and take those classes that would best prepare them for the MCAT. Once they had their undergraduate degrees they would: Get married, and apply for admission to Yale. After accepted, they would study to become surgeons, work diligently and graduate with honors. They would then return to Nashville and work for the largest hospital in Tennessee (the highly regarded HealthWing.) Heather would become Director of Medicine, and Jim would become Chief Surgeon. All goes according to plan except for one small change. A few months into their years at Yale, Jim decided that a career as a RN would be a much better fit.

Years later, Heather uses her administrative position at HealthWing to make mandatory changes in the nurses?

The money goes for three things,

  1. Costs of keeping the websites running; BigCloset, StoryPortal, Stardust, TGLibrary, TGFiction.Net, Crystal's Storysite, Bev's Balcony, Tuckerspawn, Crystal Hall, and others.
  2. Contribution to the living expenses of Piper for all the time she spends keeping the sites running when she could do other things that pay better.
  3. And a contribution to me to help me pay off the nearly $20,000 of debt I have accumulated over the last 13+ years running these sites and paying a lot of the costs myself.

There's one other thing we're going to need money for and that's very evident after this weekend; we need to upgrade our equipment and we need to use better parts than we did last time. More on that later, with details. But right now, if you can contribute to the Hatbox to help keep BC up and running, thank you. And if you can't afford money; kudos, stories, comments and good will count for something. We've been in that broke place, done that broke thing, and ate the t-shirt--with marinara sauce and diet Pepsi, it's filling, at least.

Hugs to all and more info when I find all the parts of my brain,
Erin, Piper, Cat, Sephrena and staff
