A few weeks ago I received some startling news.

In June I'm to go to Montreal for some surgery. The surgery itself is covered by Manitoba health insurance. Travel expenses are not quite covered though. Something about reimbursement after the fact or something. I'm waiting for a letter in the mail in that regard.

The thing is the surgery is of vital importance to me. However I can barely scrape by each month as it is on a fixed medical disability income. So far the approximate cost that I will need to dish out, and most likely never see any reimbursement for is over $400 so far. I wont know a definite amount till I get some more information.

I have NEVER traveled by plane before. The closest would be a short helicopter ride 4 feet of the ground. Am I nervous? You have no idea. Most of the time I'm either freaking out or panicking quite nicely thank you.

It would mean the world to me if some nice people were willing to pitch in a few dollars towards helping me get there and afford to pay to stay in a hotel of sorts. I'll sleep on the street if I have to but id rather not.

Sephrena and Dorothy both urged me to post a blog of sorts asking for help. Thing is I'm terrible at asking and don't believe I'm worth it. To that end I'm trying to get The Trip home finished so I can possibly publish it for sale I guess.

Sephrena said I should post up my paypal info but that will leave me to exposed maybe. I dunno.

The only thing I really do know is that at the moment things are WAY over my head and I'm more than a bit overwhelmed by it all.
