Don't get your hopes up
Remember this happened before in Sandoval County, a few years back.
Besides, there is a reason why Santa Fe is called "The City Different."
It's hardly representative of the rest of the state, esp. the more conservative south of the state.
Politically, NM can be divided into 3 parts, the north, liberal; the south, conservative; and Albuquerque (a mixture of all).
Santa Fe has been known to be very liberal, even in the north.

Santa Fe will have no problem with it, the Albuquerque area will be split, and the rest of the state will be mostly against it. For all of its' democratic leanings I don't see the state as a whole supporting it. On the other hand it does have some of the better protection laws out there...
