Strings of Sighs has been published for only a little over 24 hours and it has already reached my third highest Kudos score, out of a total of 61 stories and episodes published to date.
More significantly, it means that my top three placed stories all involve the pupils at the Seacombe Independent Girls High School (SIGHS) as, for one reason or another, they coerece the boys at the neighbouring school to try to be more like them.
It's worth saying that seeing the Kudos high score from the first - Jolly Hockey Sticks - caused me, some two years later, to write the second - Your starter for - which was even more successful, and now the third, eight months later.
A very good demonstration of the objective measurement provided by the Kudos system.
It's also worth noting that these three stories contain no explicit sex, just teenage boys and girls getting up to essentially innocent fun.

Good Fun
As described by some very spiffy writing. Your stories are very good, and a joy to read. I do get the feelings our protagonist, is about to learn a lot about life, and acceptance of, what it offers you along the path, of living it.
With those with open eyes the world reads like a book
yeah
it would be nice to see how Gabrielle 'don't call me Gaby' gets on further down the line.
Certainly as i've found out, Charlotte Dickles usually tickles and this one is no exception!

Yes
I'm quite enjoying the story... haven't gotten to the kudos yet, so you have more to come.

Sigh...
...neighboring high school by me? ...no strings and certain no gender-bending coercion by girls... oh well. Please? If you're going to have a sequel, let us know. Otherwise I might feel that you'd string us along....

Charlotte, I read
Strings of Sighs and enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed your other tales. :)
May Your Light Forever Shine
You can't write a story with my name in it ...
... and not expect me to read it and comment on it! (And yes, I kudo'd it too.) A good story, Charlotte!

Thanks, everyone
Thanks everyone for their comments about my story. I've had lots more by PM.
Of course, apart from being an unashamed plug for my story, it was also a remark about the success of the Kudos system. It was the objective score from that which caused me to write first one follow-up, and then another.
So, for those readers who don't use, or rarely use the Good Story button, the message is clear: it's a very easy way of both thanking the author for writing a story and a way by which they can objectively judge the success of their stories.

Two things
I loved the story, as I love almost all of yours. Two things:
BCTS seems to be a site where teens/schoolgirls is the most popular theme, and I think that has been trending to be more and more true. Any author considering writing a new story for BCTS and hoping to get lots of kudos, should probably make it a teen/schoolgirl story.
Another author asked after the server reinstall/rebuild a couple of weeks ago if the kudos system was working properly or might have changed. She said something about getting three times as many kudos for her latest story as for any previous story, and in a very short period of time. I've been wondering about that ever since. It could be absolutely nothing, but the more anal-retentive types like me might consider it food for thought. {:-\
Okay, three things. I really loved the story. Like many of your stories, I hope for a sequel or even series, even though I think the world probably already has enough T stories about teens in deep stealth in high school.
Our nifty red uniforms. Four. Four things.
(Fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, and a fanatical devotion to the pope, for those of you trying to remember specifics of the Monty Python gag.)
Annemarie
PS If you do continue the story, perhaps the school could have nifty red uniforms?
Already chosen
Sorry Annemarie
The uniform was already described in Jolly Hockey Sticks - black pleated skirt and white blouse, but the sports kit is a gymslip with white tee shirt. In that story, it was also said the school governers were very resistant to change. However, there could be a cheerleading costume...
