I am new to writing so I might regret this, but can I get some constructive criticism on my story "a boy and his dog" from a few people? Your going to have to be gentle since I'm not used to getting critical feedback. Also don't worry about spelling or grammar mistakes, those are going to happen and the reason I make sure to get editors to read it over first. (I have dyslexia, though not as bad as when I was young.)
Maybe you could also include some things that I did well or that you liked in the story to help get down the bitter pill of criticism?
If you don't like writing criticism in comment posts you can pm me, though I would rather have it in the comments so others can chime in with their agreement or disagreement to the criticism. Or if you like you can put the comments on this blog rather than the individual chapter comment section.
This is my first story to ever show anyone else so hopefully this will be a learning experience rather than a discouraging one. But hey, how else am I going to get better? :)

Not very critical, but...
I'm not very good at the technical aspects of writing, but as a reader, I know what I like. Your story is well paced, your characters are well fleshed out with the right mix of follies and loveable traits, and the only bad thing from my point of view is having to wait for the next chapter. Hopefully others can give you technical things to improve, I just say keep up the good work.
Looking forward to more great stories,
Cheers, Kiwi.
Landing, you are doing
an excellent job of writing. if anything, enlist the aide of an editor to catch any faulty grammar.
