I just heard from my brother. My mother passed away this morning at 1:15, PST. I want to thank all of those who prayed and thought the good thoughts. Thank you all very much.
Now to get a way to California and go against my dad's wishes. Its not that he doesn't want me to go, he just knows that times are tough and he doesn't want me to strap myself in a monetary sense. My roommates are looking at getting money, but won't listen to the fact I am scared to death of airline travel. I want the train, its slower, but I trust it. But I just don't know.

profoundly sorry for your loss
Words are some times so inadequate especially at times like this But hopefully this (hug) will help a little
ps
One thing to remember though some airlines will offer discounted fares

does the rates include not
does the rates include not being on the plane? I do not like planes. We have found a good deal on rail travel and if I leave tonmorrow at 8 am, I am in Sacramento on Wedenday at 2 pm. a friend said I should take train to chico, but I would wait in Sac for 5 hours for the next part of hte trip and Oroville is 90 minutes away
omg. I am so sorry hon :(
*hugging you tight*
I am sure she is looking down at you and happy she is out of pain. She has a new heavenly life to look forward too.
That doesn't stop us from missing our loved ones.
They live on forever in our hearts. That is where we treasure and remember them from. All that they were and all that they gave us. The joy of their having been here with us and what they had done.
Remember her smile and love Raff. She will look out for you, forever.

So sad
I know what it is to lose a mom.
BTW air travel is often cheaper than the train but if it terrifies you.
Not sure on buses. The slowest of the three though possibly cheaper but not very pleasant cross country and the depots!
I'd suggest car pooling with other family members who drive but that requires a reliable car and still is not much faster than the bus though more flexible.
My sympathiies.

I lost my Mom,
The same weekend I began my RLT and did my book signing. I sympathize with you and I hope you will be able to make it to the funeral in plenty of time. Remember what she was, remember her smile and love.
Safe trip and safe return.
