Now that many of you have new Kindles and Nooks, ereaders, tablets, and other goodies, please support your BCTS authors. Tanya Allan, Nancy Cole, K.T. Leone, and others have very fine ebooks available. Some have been on BCTS but others are great stories only available in the ebook edition.
By support, I mean review. Give stars (lots of 'em!). If you enjoyed the writing, let the author and the world know; it'll take two minutes and we'll all be grateful for your response. Amazon has an arcane algorithm for tracking books and every four-and-five star review helps the author.
Even if you read the book months ago, you can still go back and add a review and stars, next time you're on the website. And for those of you who regularly review our books, a big warm thank you!
Many of us also have our ebooks available for Barnes & Noble's Nook, iPads and iPhones at the iBookstore in iTunes, the Kobo and Sony readers, and others, as well as sites like Smashwords and Lulu--and the BCTS Blog is good for announcing discounts at Lulu.
And on behalf of all writers, I thank you!

Kindle readers for PC and smartphone.

The Kindle Reader for PC is free. You just download it and then have to choice to obtain free books, buy books or borrow the books that are on KDP Select.
Just put in KINDLE READER FOR PC into your search engine and select the one for your area.

Just to add to that .. Their is calibre a free ereader that supports every (non drm) ebook format (books from smashwords don't ever contain DRM), most kobo books are also drm free(although they have their own softreader) the nook has a free PC application as well, Nook has a pc reader..
On top of that .. Most large manufactures)ie. Kindle, Nook, Kobo have readers for ipod/ipad/iphone, and android tablet(and phone) devices (all non drm eBooks can be read with free readers)..
One thing though .. books lent threw KDP, are not available for pc/softreaders, unless borrowed threw your kindle device (or threw amazon prime service)
would like to see
I would like to see a page on BC that shows books for sale by BC authors. I had a forum about a kindle author's club to help each other out but no one rsponded

Writing is what you do when you put pen to paper, being an author is what you do when you bring words to life
I would add my voice to this plea.
We're not asking for undeserved praise, but good reviews do help us to publicise our work. For those of you who have left me reviews on Amazon for the Kindle books, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
It makes it all seem worthwhile when someone takes the little effort to say that they liked it, or even if it might not be for them. Either way, it is contact with the readers, and that has got to be a good thing.
To give you an idea of how many reviews have been done compared to books sold...
I have had 66 reviews on Amazon.com and 15 on Amazon.co.uk............ out of over 11,300 books sold. I think this is just over 0.7%.
Either a lot of people who have bought my books don't like them, or they can't be bothered to review them.
For those who have taken the trouble, my thanks.

I do have one of your books
I do have one of your books threw amazon, yes I did like it; but no at this time i have not left a review, I will now that you bring it up .. but typically I never leave a review on Amazon due to the DRM on all their ebooks and the fact i have to strip the DRM to view it on my ereader.
I would really like to see more of your books on smashwords or kobo but at the same price as your books on amazon.
That my two cents..

It goes both ways
Authors are asking for reviews, and that includes bad reviews can happen also. I surely have not given some reviews on books while here but on Amazon I will have no compunction to be very graphic with regard to praise as well as lay into the less than stellar aspects of stories also. Point is, sometimes the lack of reviews may not be a bad thing.
Also, given the nature of the stories, it is understandable that there are folks who are reluctant to put traceable commentary in pretty much a public forum, especially on Amazon, where you have to log in to add commentary IIRC.

It is Worse Than That!
I had a reader who frequently contacted me and all but demanding that I allow her to edit my material. While anyone who reads my stuff appreciates my stories could always use a good edit, I have no choice but to demur to such offers for practical and professional reasons.
Any who, after posting my first book to Kindle, this person posted a vicious review, followed by a PM here on TS/BC telling me if I did not allow them to edit my stuff, they would leave the review up. Now I expect the idea of using a review as a means of vengeance would never enter most people's minds. Unfortunately, those who have patronize TS/BC know there is no limit to what some people will do when they feel they have been slighted.
So take heed to what Kimmie is saying. Be careful what you ask for..

Nancy, using a BCTS PM to blackmail, intimidate, threaten, or harass another member is certainly a violation of the TOS here. Maybe a PM to Erin with the details would get the miscreant kicked off BCTS?

Don't be afraid of purchasing an e-book!
The reader is typically free. Most Windows machines come with Kindle already on them now.
If you're worried about someone else seeing a credit card transaction for an e-book purchase... you can always get yourself a "gift card" at many drug stores (where you can pre-load money onto it to spend annonymously).
You will have to make a kindle account with in another name to log on (and to keep purchases) separate from others who might share your machine.
Seems a little sneaky... but I know many are still secret about some things. Just wanted to mention that there are options for them.
Hugs,
Stacy
