I guess it helps that we're not crazy. But if we're not crazy I fear insurance companies will no longer be willing to treat this as a condition worth covering by insurance, so there's a double-edged sword to this.
Me, I'm crazy in other ways anyway.
not as think as i smart i am
We ain't crazy...
...well, at least in that regard, aye?

Still depends on the psychiatrist
Unfortunately, it's not that simple. Look up the criteria for transvestic disorder -- if you ever even think of getting aroused in your true gender you too can become a certified fetishist. *Instead of* having gender dysphoria...
Spend minimal time with shrinks
Upon reflection on the last 10 years, I strongly believe that gender therapists main agenda is to suck you dry. When the money is gone, you are cured.
I think you are best spending some time in drag at clubs and home, if you are not married. Let's face it, if you have 6 kids and suddenly decide you want to be a woman, until they are raised, you are occupied, or you are a schlub.
Thank God, mine were all married and gone before it hit the fan for me. If you think you might be T, then talk to your prospective spouse about it. I am told that a very small percentage of women will buy into that.
There is so much more to learn but I must go. God speed
I'll agree to disagree on this point...
I would be dead if not for my GT help. I have issues, and they were overwhelming me. Now I have hope.
Not crazy
Dana Beyer was just starting to mess with the T stuff in the 90's and had SRS in the early 2000's. She is an eye surgeon.
In my opinion, for me the best tactic is to just live my life as quietly as possible by the principles I have always had. I think that is the best activism. I just don't need one of my peers telling me that I am not crazy. I want to prove it by my actions.
