Wow, my second story is receiving many more reads, comments, and kudos than the first - way more. It makes me very happy, as I do feel that Duchess is a better story than Grace in some ways.
At least, it seems to flow better, to me. And, writing it is going much smoother as well. Sure, I had a background hearing all of the bigoted crap that was in Grace, but that does not mean I enjoyed writing it!
I am having so much fun writing this one, though. I almost feel that I can't wait to see what will happen next, strange as that may sound. Or, maybe not, since so many people here are writers perhaps they would nod their heads in understanding at that.
I had originally intended this one to only go for like 5 chapters or so and be done. But it is so much fun writing it and people really seem to like it, so I am not going to rush it. When we reach the end, we reach the end! :)
I don't know if anybody will even read this, but I'd also like to thank Erin and Sephrena for this wonderful site. The good stories and great people here spurred me into actually writing, and posting stories. I didn't think my stories a good fit for a place like FM, for example. But here they seem to fit.

Jenny Sugar, Duchess and Grace are both quite enjoyable reads. You are a most welcome addition to the Big Closet Top Shelf Family.

Stanman, I appreciate you commenting and also your welcoming me. There's some really nice and friendly folks here at BCTS that make me feel welcome :)
I liked both stories
"Grace" was hard to read because of what was going on, but it was an impressive first effort.

Thanks Dorothy!
I struggled with Grace to balance a realistic setting versus going too far. I've read quite a few interviews and articles about and with people who were stuck in such places, usually by their parents. I wanted to capture the overall feel of such a place and show just what Grace was facing.
I appreciate your comment :)
