My reading! Where do all these wonderfull stories come from? Such imagination you'll possess. Please forgive me if it takes a while to get through them. I'll try to leave comments as much as possible,'cause I think far to many don't take the time to do that, and please keep up the nice work! (Hugs) Taarpa

Upon my liar's chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair

I resemble that remark

All these stories are great - But I think the writers need to limit the amount of pages per download so it can make it more enjoyable to read and to be able to read more different stories. Writting long stories is great but make them multi-chapter and download each chapter about every three days to once a week. Make those chapters between 15 and 20 pages max in length at the same time. Just a thought as I've seen some of these stories have been 50 to almost 100 pages. The shorter Chapters gives all writers a chance to be read each day. Like most of Tels chapters have been about 10 pages as is some the other multi-chapter writers have also. This is just a thought from someone that has read stories here for over Six Plus years here. Thank You for them!

My Thought...

...was almost the exact opposite. IMO, it's the number of chapter stories that causes the congestion on the front page, which in turn contributes to the feeling that there's too much here for anyone to read and still do anything else. There's some truth to that feeling, of course -- I'm referring to the headers more than ever now, and skipping a few more stories than I used to. It helps that there are a number of universes (DarkRealms and Comics Retcon, among others) that I pass by rather than trying to absorb all the background.

Sure, I may have to delay reading a long story until I have time and inclination for it, and yes, some multi-post stories -- especially ones with chapters posted frequently -- are memorable enough that I can pick them up each time without having to bring up the previous chapter in an attempt to recall who's doing what to whom. (And yes, if I want to read a whole divided story at one time I can wait until it's finished and then use the "printer-friendly" button to generate the whole story from the title page or first chapter, though I miss the comments when I do that.)

But in general I'd prefer to have the choice of what to read and when, rather than having the author ration it. And if the author has completed it and is posting it piecemeal, I'd prefer a quick turnaround -- more than once a week -- to dragging it out. Personally, I enjoy Karin Bishop posting her chapters each day. (Since chapters are dropped from the front page when the next one is posted, they don't add to the congestion. It's the number of chapter stories, not the number of chapters, that contributes to the problem.)

Taarpa, I hope that you

enjoy all of the catch up reading. There are several stories out there. Why not pick an author, and read their stories as well as reading the current crop on the front page?
