The Solo tag on my two recent standalone stories keeps getting reset to Series. I realise the titles are confusing as they seem to suggest a series, but they are both standalone stories and should be marked as Solo.
The titles of both commence A decade of Big Busts followed by a number, so I can understand why people should think them a series - in one sense they are, but the stories are unrelated to each other except by their publishing history.

Series vs serial

Where a story has the same title followed by a number they are indeed part of the same series even if that is the only link. Most of the series published on Bigcloset follow the same group of characters through a sequence of events which makes them a serial as well but the two terms are not the same.
To take an example in broadcasting, the show "The Twilight Zone" was a series of stories with different characters in each where the link was the title and a weird twist somewhere in the plot.
