Really don't get the, "nothing personal", bit.

People do evil things all the time, but that's...disconnected.

Feelings of Hostility and Anger.

Most of the time, I can divorce myself from the anger and hurt that some of the conservatives have caused, and not just among the GBLT set. Having once been a very conservative Christian 8.1, I was extremely familiar with some of their rantings and ravings, and for a time, I bought into it just out of submissive obedience, because my own problems were buried so deeply in de-nile.

How awful and guilty I felt a few years later when I was grapling with my own problems, and not recieving mercy and love from my church at the time. Their treatment of me was one of the major reasons I became Muslim.

So, while I am not happy about what the man did there, I do not feel much sympathy for them. I am somewhat ashamed of my conflicted feelings about that organization and that the fact that he did not take out some of the leaders there instead of the innocent guard

I agree with the LGBT statement condemning the violent

act of a single person, who volunteered for LGBT rights. This really does shame our community, but was he gay? Was he tg? Or was he straight and just an admirer. Whatever he was, makes no difference, because the violent act was insensible and insensitive to another's viewpoint. While I disagree with the conservative outlook against our community, I do not condone violence of any kind. Mr. Corkins is looking at 25 years to life in prison, for attempted murder. Anything less, would be a travesty of justice.

Is this just another

manifestation of the way people seem to be so angry today, and then use unjustifiable violence to sate it?

On the other, other hand...

We note that the alleged "gay rights activist" had fifteen (count'em, fifteen!) Chick-fil-A sandwiches in his bag, thus demonstrating his support for a notoriously "gay-unfriendly" outfit.

Just think of the many conspiracy theories one can spin off that simple factoid, not to mention that no one other than a low-budget guard was injured. Could this be a "sacrifice play" meant to garner favourable publicity and sympathy for the Family Research Council?

Thinking outside the box is our business; that's why people are walking around on two feet with cellphones in their hands rather than shambling along on the savannah with a handful of twigs and berries.

Glorifying violence

I find it interesting that most of the statements on this thread eschew violence, yet how many of the stories we write seem to glorify it. Hmmmmm

hmm

No kills? my personal opionion on this is dark i must say.. i might not be gay lesbian or tg but i cannot look at people who wana controll others rights to live to love i mean why should 1 guy decide what any other does.
killing ppl is wrong on so many basis but in my opion sometimes murder is the only way out.
only problem is he diden get any of the ppl who mattered instead he probertly got an inocent which is awefull

anyway if it was made elegal to get an abortion where im from i would find it fair for all the raped pregnant women with deep traumas to kill every single hater out there.

i know its a VERY hard statement i don´t know if its allowed to say my oppinion like this but i hope it is and if not please just delete it and let the haters take over :P

btw sorry for all the spelling mistakes havent read it trough enuf probertly but just have to voice it so sorry again for my ramblings

Bad Idea.

I can put my self in the position of the shooter but it is never a good Idea to kick a paranoid aggressive monster in their own turf especially when it can backfire on your friends. This is such a mess all made by others with there misplaced sense of entitlement to there aggression which causes thousands of deaths and tens of thousands of injuries each year world wide. All of them are innocent victims. But to strike back at the violence with violence is human just not wise
