the men's team pursuit, I hope!
Incidentally, Team GB broke the world record during the preliminary heat, and the men's team sprint broke the world record twice while winning the gold medal. Twenty years ago, cycling in the UK was a minority sport - it's popularity is growing exponentially at the moment, presumably fuelled by the success of British cyclists in the last couple of Olympics and world championships, and by Brad Wiggins recent success in the TdF.
Which reminds me, I must check if my racing licence is still valid...

Cycling
Not necessarily for team GB either. :p
World Records
The women's team sprint also had records broken: Victoria and Jess broke a world record during qualifying, only to (a) have it beaten two minutes later by the Chinese team, then (b) subsequently get disqualified for changing over in the wrong place on the track. Ouch.
Victoria's still got two more events she's been entered into so has a chance to make up for her over-eagerness yesterday, but Jess alas has no more events and this is apparently her last Olympics.
As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!

Funny...
.... how the London Olympic Commitee is trying to cope with all the vacant seats shown during TV coverage at the various venues, yet the Velodrome was filled for the Track Cycling.... and not by off-duty soldiers. :)

Likely that is because they
Likely that is because they didn't reserve a huge block of seats for "dignitaries" for the Cycling events, and sold the tickets to people that actually wanted to go.
