Janet Jackson to produce transgender documentary

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Janet Jackson has signed on as an executive producer of a documentary on the lives of transgender people living around the world.
New York-based Brainchild Films announced Monday that Jackson was working on "Truth" and would do some of the on-camera interviews. The documentary begins production this summer and will focus on the lives and struggles of transgender persons.

Jackson writes in a statement that she is working on the project to try to stop discrimination of the transgender community.
The 46-year-old sister of Michael Jackson has starred in several films and won five Grammy Awards.
"Truth" will be directed by Robert Jason, who previously directed a documentary for The Style Network on four transgender New Yorkers. He says "Truth" will feature stories from throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Latin America.

Remember the rumors
I remember the rumors back in like the 80s the Michael and Janet were the same person. But I was in elementary school at the time, so I don't know how factual other 4th graders are.

While I vaguely remember those rumors, I'm old enough to have watched the TV specials/ shows they did as children (early 70's) and knew it wasn't true.

Naturally, the first thing I did after reading this was to hit the search engines to see if I could find out what kind of productions "Brainchild Films" had done in the past. They're either a new entity or have no web presence and remain under the radar, as I cannot find any references to them other than this one particular documentary. It doesn't help that there's an Edinburgh-based entity with the same name that specialises in filming mountain biking (!), so I think it's safe to say the two companies aren't connected!
As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!
