So, I received a Private Message inquiring into a couple of my projects that have been left hanging, and my intentions as to those projects... I responded, and then thought that perhaps others would like to know as well. I mean, I may not be worth caring about, but some of my stories might be...

| Life has been more than just harsh to me the past few years... at about this time in 2009, there was an incident in my life that very nearly killed any ability I have to write at all. I was accused of something that, while my fault, I was unaware of even occurring... and then accused of having instigated that incident just to have something to write about. Such an accusation pretty much froze my ability to think of any story independently for awhile... and put my ability and desire to edit any of my stuff into twin comas. The next couple of years were rife with hardship for me -- not that it's much better now, but it IS better at least somewhat. Somewhere in the last 6 to 8 weeks, I started writing again. I don't even really know exactly when it was, but it happened and I was overjoyed.
However, I now have two jobs and have almost no TIME. If it's not one thing, it's the other. I had this weekend off from both jobs, but this weekend would have been my baby brother's 21st birthday. He died in September of 2007. I spent the weekend crying. Violet Ajah is completely written, it just needs severely edited... and I don't want anyone else to do it, I want to do it. As for Sk8r Grrls, I hope to finish updating and then continue with the story. |

Come on, girl, you dont really believe that, do you? You are a human being, aren't you? And one of us besides, right? Why in heaven's name wouldn't we care about you? And as for the writing, do what you can when you can, and I'm sure many of us including me will be happy to enjoy whatever you make whenever you post it.

I've always really enjoyed your work. I really appreciate the update and I hope things start to get better for you. Take your time writing and finishing your projects. We'll all be here waiting to read whenever you're ready.

I hope you know that I remember very fondly the few contacts that you and I had.
For me, you're a kind, caring, responsible person who stood up for others when they needed help.
You're creative and funny and you're a good writer.
You know I'm not just making that stuff up.
