My eBook, "Reclamation", is available only on Amazon as part of their "Kindle Select" program. I am going to try a free promotion--excuse me: FREE promotion!!!--and so "Reclamation" will be available to download for free (Kindle only!) from March 7th through 10th. That's THIS Wednesday through Saturday.

The Amazon blurb: Teresa Carraher is a 22-year-old struggling photographer in idyllic Whistler, BC. She’s working as a gallery manager for her mentor, an internationally-known photographer, and getting her life in order after a tumultuous youth. Her family was absorbed by a religious fanatic and Teresa barely escaped the compound. Her greatest regret was leaving her ten-year-old brother Roger behind to the religious madness.

Five years later, Roger has turned up on her doorstep. He brings three problems for his big sister. First, she must determine if Roger has been indoctrinated. The second problem is completely unexpected: Roger is transgendered. But it’s the third problem that is most dangerous: The fanatic may have sent minions to reclaim Roger–and perhaps Teresa, too.

Teresa gathers strength and assistance from a group of Whistler women, her mentor, wealthy European friends–and a very handsome lawyer–to help Roger and to save them both from religious zealots bent on RECLAMATION.

It's a full-length novel that is very dear to my heart. And please, please, PLEASE give it stars and post a review on Amazon. I hope you enjoy it and my other books!

I've already purchased it

I can tell you it is excellent, and if you enjoy Karin's work, this is definitely a keeper. If you don't have a Kindle, you can download the software for free to your computer, and some other platforms. I currently have (and have read) over 500 books, many, many of them free. Several other writers have books on Kindle, and Karin has a few more there herself. I'm currently reading The Haight, and it is like an immersion into the Sixties.

Do yourself a favor. Download Reclamation-I'll bet you love it!

Please note that the current listing...

...shows that it's only "free" to Prime Members, and is a loan, not a purchase for those members only. For those without Prime membership, it's a purchase until the "free promotion" period occurs.

So, since I like your stories and are so well written I also went ahead and bought it for the PC version of Kindle. Thanks and keep writting for us too! A Friend! Richard

No, it really is free! About Amazon, Prime, and Free

We all know how to purchase a book from Amazon, but there's some confusion over how Amazon works regarding a free (to keep) book and a "borrowed" book.

Two of my books, "Reclamation" and "The Haight" are part of the Kindle Select program. This means, in part, that members of Amazon Prime can borrow A book (under the Kindle Lending Library program) for as long as they want. The catches are that you can only borrow one book from Amazon at a time, and you can't borrow a second book until a period passes--and depending on when you borrowed, that period may be a few weeks to (usually)30 days.

For example, if you had Prime membership, you could borrow "Reclamation", read it and on the 31st day, borrow "The Haight". "Reclamation" would vanish from your Kindle. And thirty days later, you could move on to the next Stephen King or whatever (but check for any other BCTS authors in the program!)

However! Kindle Select also allows authors a chance to offer their book free for up to five days within a 90 day period. That's what I'm trying; from this Wednesday through Saturday, anybody--even if not Prime members--can download "Reclamation" for free to keep.

Anybody. Free. For Keeps.

Hope you enjoy it!
