"Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya (Juan Pablo Montoya) You killed my Father! (You killed my car) Prepare to die!
Does that help?
I understand that NASCAR doesn't appeal to veery many people, but the GREAT reference, relating the amazing crash at this year's race (Thank God no one was seriously hurt) was, to me, inescapable!
The blog was about the reference to the line from the movie, and its similarity to the crash. NOT about the race. Sigh. Maybe mine is the only small mind amused by little things like this.
Oh well. I tried. I STILL think it's very funny.

Comments
I must 'splain...too long, lemme sum up...
...I've been fighting off a virus and very achy (and pukey) the last three days. I thought it was hysterical, and I had meant to comment. I wonder if the driver of the Jet Track Dryer has six fingers on his hands? Is there a Sicilian and a very large Brute on Montoya's pit crew?
Huge hugs of appreciation, si?
Love, Andrea Lena
I missed the reference
1. I have never seen the film.
2. I have absolutely no interest in cars and have never owned one.
So it went flying right past me....sorry!
My God!
One of the best movies of the 20th century and you missed it!
Seriously, do yourself a favor, find a friend and watch it together.
That would be difficult
I also do not have a TV...
Use the friends TV! Gosh.
Use the friends TV! Gosh. The best way to watch ANYTHING is socially!

Occurs
It occurs to me if you can read this you can probably see it. Most computers make reasonably decent DVD players.
true...
Though I do still recommend watching with a friend, and if your monitor is too small to make that sensible... anyways...
Even if your computer does not have a DVD drive: http://www.amazon.com/The-Princess-Bride/dp/B000VEPL2M/ref=s...
You can rent it for only $3 on Amazon and stream it to your computer digitally.

No TV either
Next year I will chalk-up half-a-century of living in a household with no TV. Why would I want to watch anything, least of all a film? (Watching isn't social activity in my book either.)
The pictures - and the production values - are better on the wireless.

you never saw it!?!
(Alright everyone say it with me!)
Inconceivable!
Sorry you need to see the movie to get that but it's a great film
FWIW...
I never saw the film, but it's in the original book, too, and I read it there.
(My trouble with it was that I don't follow NASCAR, and though I knew about the accident, I didn't pay attention to the name, except that it was Latino.)

reference
i'm sure more people got it than commented on it.
i sent your joke to a friend and she laughed her butt off.
I thought it a very good use of a classic movie ref.
thanks
I rather like it
I too like Nascar. Montoya's crash was brutal and luckly no one was seriously injured. It was probably the longest race in the history of man, what with the rain delays and such. Love the movie too, it's fun, Arecee
speaking of which bad netflix
They took that movie of watch instantly and Stardust too :(

inconceivable!
I got the reference.
gigglefits
Sorry, I got it, and I get the inconceivable reference to the same in this thread... I just didn't think it was that funny... Well, your joke, anyways. The inconceivable comment above about someone haven't not seen the movie... now... that was funny!

And I was hoping someone
And I was hoping someone would reply with this.
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
And lastly, the dryer thing he hit wasn't using Bonetti's Defense, that's why he got hit.
