Hi folks.

Well as you know - or maybe you don't, since my car accident last year, things have been a little odd up top for me; you know, forgetfulness, lack of concentration etc, etc.

Odd things have been happening, but usually they have simple explanations and usually, it's down to my head playing tricks on me.

Not this time.

This time it must have played a trick on my camera as well.

New Neighbour 2.jpg

My new neighbour moved in this morning and caught me well off guard. I had just been listening to Peter Gabriel 'shaking his tree' when I realised it was time I went to my hospital appointment. As usual I had a quick peep out of the window and low and behold, outside stood Merlin in all his glory.

I thought I must be out of my tree and, so shocked was I by this, I grabbed my camera and took a couple of snaps.

So Peter had not shaken my tree enough for me to be falling out of it.

Had he?

Now, THAT'S what I call a lawn ornament.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

No kidding

The damned thing's life size standing probably around six feet tall - and before anyone answers saying that it was unlikely that Merlin was ever that tall, you know what I mean.

I'm sure stood out on the lawn it would scare the crap out of most people, especially if it had some kind of electronic detector system in it that made it speak when people got close ...

I totally think he makes a change from a rabbit

Was it a beard?

I thought he just had a lot of facial hair and hadn't shaved for a day or two. Maybe I was just distracted by the dress. And I still prefer midnight blue!

Is that a candle in his right hand? And what plans does he have for it? You can do a lot with a candle.

Oh, Susan. Please

I'm not even going to dignify that comment with a reply.

Ooops!

Maybe it wasn't Merlin...

If I saw that guy anywhere around my town, I'd make a bee line to the nearest mall, looking for a recently opened business.

The girl in me.
She's been looking for that shop for decades!

Unfortunately, Lora

He was introduced to me as Merlin, though why my neighbours have him - and have had him for years - is a complete mystery to me.

They also have a four foot soft toy monkey as well.

Whatever floats your boat I suppose.
