Mom's staying in the hospital overnight. Minor infection and dehydration. She's in good spirits.

Great
Good to know it wasn't anything serious. Always alarming when a loved one does something like that because you never know. May she recover enough to come home soon!
Hugs!

Just got a call
Mom spent the night in the emergency room bed, the fires have caused crowding in the hospitals. Also, short-handedness because of doctors, nurses and technicians calling in sick.
Less wind today means more smoke locally since it isn't being blown away west. I woke up and spent some time coughing up bloody phlegm. Apparently had a nosebleed in the night.
Going to get breakfast and call the hospital again. The hospital told me Mom seemed confused during the night, which is not new.
I'll take the laptop with me, there's a Starbucks near the hospital and an internet cafe, too.
Hugs all,
Erin

Erin's Mom
Hope everything works out OK. Those bushfires are being reported worldwide and are pretty scary.

I hope Mom is back on her feet in no time, none the worse for her little scare,
and that you don't go through anything like this again for years
and years and years and years!

They lost Mom! Temporarily mislaid, that is
She got left in a hallway waiting for an ambulance to take her down the street to the extension. :)
Boy, is she annoyed.
While I was gone, they decided she would pee in a diaper since they were afraid of letting her walk to the bathroom. So they tied her down. She kicked one of the doctors in the head. (Not hard.) I got back, calmed her down, got them to let her up and walked her to the bathroom. She's resting now and the dotor will recover. :)
She's still pretty annoyed, though. :)
Hugs all,
Erin

They lost MOM?
If your mom is anything like mine, I can only imagine how of an understatement 'pretty annoyed' is! :)

Erin, your mom had the right idea ...
But she aimed too high.
A doctor with double vision can't practice but a doctor who is suddenly a soprano can, though he may walk funny for a while.
Feisty is a good thing. Best wishes to both of you.
As to confused, wake me up in the middle of the night in a strange place and I wouldn't seem the brightest I imagine.

:) Tiny little Asian woman, even after losing 30 pounds in the last year, Mom probably out weighs her by 5 or 10 lbs and has more than half a foot in height.

Erin, I Have Placed You & Your Mother On Church Prayer List
I hope and pray that she gets better. I know from an earlier blog that the fires out there are causing health problems. Take care of yourself Erin. Stanman63
