...How about being seven foot tall. A basket ball player 'changes sex' to become world's tallest transsexual. Makes me feel like a pygmy.

"Set to become the world's tallest transvestite"
Sigh.
Unbelievable!
No, not Lindsey, but the Daily Mail and their readers. Has someone successfully infiltrated that paper or have they really written a positively framed story about a transperson... and had the comments filled up with supportive readers as well?!
Then again, you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of Lindsey :) It's also interesting to note, as one commentator has, that these articles usually find 'after' photos of the person wearing rather skimpy outfits - perhaps it's a strategy on the part of the newspapers concerned to prove to their readers that the person really has taken hormones and perhaps even passes well enough to make some of their readership lust after the person...
There are 10 kinds of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't...
As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!
I'm really hoping worlds
I'm really hoping worlds tallest transsexual isn't a guiness book of records category!!
The article is a bit clumsy in places but given the source (Daily Mail) it's a lot better than it could have been. I live for the day that the transitions of ordinary people becomes something not worth reporting.
"Just once I want my life to be like an 80's movie, preferably one with a really awesome musical number for no apparent reason. But no, no, John Hughes did not direct my life."
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
...but hardly the tallest woman, who was possibly...
Jane Bunford, born in Bartley Green on 26 July 1895. Seven foot eleven inches, more or less; two metres and four decimetres. She had a spinal problem that caused a bit of scoliosis late in her very young life, as well as the original head injury (a fractured skull from falling off her bicycle as a young girl -- wear your helmets!) that caused her gigantism through damage to her pituitary gland, a common diagnosis in the abnormally tall.
In the spirit of the times, the attending physicians stole her skeleton for study, without telling anyone. It's quite the scandal, but was never admitted to.
The Chinese have a competing woman, Zeng Jinlian, at a little less than eight foot two, but she was never able to stand at her full height because of spinal scoliosis, so the logic is a little tortured.

Gutsy to say the least
Then again she is still big enough to put most guys in their place ;)
However I do not envy her size 16 feet
Kim
Cool!
Good for her! I think she looks great and properly fem. I hope her life goes OK, she isn't going to be able to blend in with the crowd.
