Ain't it just like me to start another new story and not post on it when I promised new parts soon?

I REALLY need to work on my reliability as an author.

On the other hand, there is reason, I promise! I'm working retail, which means the last few weeks have been cah-RAY-zee at work. On top of that, I just got a promotion this past weekend that gives me better pay and a better position, but means that I've got to be trained by Friday to help with the waves of shoppers I'll be fighting off. It's been exhausting -- I've lost a pants size in the last week alone from all the running around they've had me doing -- but so far it seems like it'll be worth it.

On the home front, I've been helping my mom get things ready for an assessor to come in. We're trying to get a loan to help do some much needed repairs around the place, but if the house doesn't appraise for enough then we're kinda screwed, so we've been trying to make sure everything is as nice looking as we can.

Between all that, a constantly changing work schedule that's keeping my sleeping habits unpredictable, AND my little sister bringing my niece over (sixteen months is such an adorable age!) I haven't had a lot of writing time, really, nor have I had a lot of inspiration. I've gotten SOME work done on the last part of my retcon fanfic, plus the next Switcheroo and PFH chapters, but not nearly enough to post anything.

So, I beg patience of anyone who still cares.

Also, next time I try to post something in parts before finishing it, I need to be slapped.

Not slapped....

A gentle reminder, maybe?

Princess for Hire is such a great story and worth the wait. I for one will wait for the next part.

No - you suffer from...

No - you suffer from "RL Syndrome". It hits us all...

RL Syndrome, you ask? Real Life Syndrome - That thing that interrupts us from doing what we'd prefer to be doing.

BTW - I do hope that you being uber busy in retail is an indication of good things in the economy!

Best wishes,
Anne

Don't we pay you enough?

Not really kidding... most of us are doing this for our own reasons, and life always has to come first.

That said, whenever Princess for Hire appears, it will be very welcome.

Hugs,
