Cats do predate them, unfortunately. They're wrong with the suggestion that dormice occur in more than one place in the Lake District and they forgot Cheshire, which has reintroduced them.
Still, the humans might be dumb but the dormice are always cute.

Cats are predators ...
... by nature. In my personal experience they also predate on cyclists so watch out Steph and Angharad. There are two cyclists in this house who have been attacked with severe prejudice :)
I think on the whole I prefer the dormices :)

Yes, extreme prejudice would be an attack by a puma (mountain lion, cougar) rather than a moggy. Not likely, but possible in the American west. Like any cat they like to chase fast moving things.
