I'll wait for PS to do the official statistics, but just doing a quick count using the cat's toes, and counting back the last six or seven episodes, Bike has reached well over 2 Million words.

My mother always told me I would use half a dozen words where one would do, perhaps she had a point.

In keeping with the title of the story, I demonstrated the ease with which I manage to fall off bikes yesterday, thankfully no serious damage was done to the bike. Oh me, just a few scratches - bike riders is tough (unfortunately not as tough as the average road!).

So Bonzi, Izzy and I will continue breaking records as long as there are people daft enough to read our postings, and Annie G who likes to keep a hard copy, will need her floor strengthened.

Thanks to all who commented on last night's effort, which you might have noticed was a bumper edition and longer than usual.

Hugs to all, especially my readers and the back room girls who keep this wonderful site running.

Angharad.

You might suggest...

You might suggest that Anne G (& others that need a hard copy shift from paper to vellum... It's a tad lighter. LOL

That you may use a dozen words where one will do - I dunno about that, but even if so, you are in very good company. I've heard people suggest that if you cross out every third word in Dickens, his stories still make sense. Could you imagine how you'd be doing, if you were paid the same per-word rate he was, instead of the one you get? LOL

Thanks for sharing with us, and do keep that rule in mind. What rule? The one where the pavement's harder than skin...

The more words, the more

The more words, the more there is to love!

Be careful out there on those hard roads! But who am I to talk? I fell last week, and I'm still mending up. And I wasn't even on a bike, I was running, on a sidewalk. Guess I need to watch where my feet are going, and lift them up where required.

Give Bonzi and Izzy a scratch behind the ears from me.

Like Cathy, it is obvious that Angharad is an overachiever—and we’re delighted that it is so.

Unfortunately, it will be a few days before I’m able to get the archive updated.

A heavy Bike

Hello,

I have just weighed my dead tree version of EAFOAB. It now weighs 5 stone 8 pounds, so I think my floorboards can cope for now.

I started saving my copy, as I love Angharads writing, thinking it would only last a few episodes. I have been hooked from episode one and I will keep on going as long as Ang keeps writing.
Love to all

Anne G.
