Is it book/movie worthy

The God Bless the Child trilogy has really been the most complete work that I've ever done. It is the only work that I put serious thought into while crafting it, and the only work I actually sat down and edited (sorry to admit this but the rest i just type as i go and then post, I don't even do a second read) With the trilogy I actually kept close tabs on character's personalities so that they responded consistently (on two occasions I had to re-write scenes to put the right character in there because of the response I needed). I worked with outlines, consulted professionals in other fields (especial a paramedic when Chase was shot) and feel I created a fictional character that people honestly care about.

My question is this, and I would really like an honest answer. Is this work professional level (I do know there needs to be some touching up in spelling and grammar as, considering the length, i did not catch everything). Would this be something you would see in the store and go Hmmm perhaps I will by this along with whatever other book you buy (shame on you if you don't buy books). Also, could you see this as a movie adaptation (I know some of the abuse scenes would be edited out or softened). When I read it I always view it as a movie, but maybe I'm retarded.

I would really like to know, do I have something that I could go to a mainstream publisher with, or should I just accept the fact that writing is a really neat hobby that I have and it will never go beyond that?
