I love fog. If fact that's one of the things I miss about San Francisco.
Although when it's foggy....or rainy....or snowy, the people around here are a bit stupid and they drive with the high beams on. I mean really, I know they covered that stuff in Drivers training. And how can you think you can see better when the glare gets brighter when you turn on hte high beams
Do you think
some of it could make the trip this far? I'm pretty sure it'd be the closest thing to precipitation we've had since a trace of snow last February. Even when a tropical storm hits our closest coast, we get wind, Arkansas gets water.
But hey, it didn't reach a hundred (38c) five days last week, after ninety hundred plus days since mid-May (and this week it hasn't twice). Maybe it's letting up and water is coming our way.
Does "ninety hundred plus days" boggle people? "Ninety days over one hundred" might be better, but isn't the way I'd say it; perhaps I need some punctuation, but what, not a comma. A hyphen? But nah, wouldn't anywhere else.
OK;sorry for letting this descend into a discussion of writing.
Hyphen, I Think...
Since you asked, "ninety hundred-plus days" would be better, if still not perfectly clear. An advantage to using the numeral instead of spelling it out would be the ability to put a degree sign in without disrupting the sentence: ninety 100°-plus days. (° is alt-248 on my machine.)
