On ABC-TV tonight there will be a show concerning transgendered teen and pre-teens. I have no idea what the bias is or if it is well done. A review can be found at the link below. I also do not know the bias of the review.
The show teaser indicates they will be a MtF and a FtM discussed.

Considering some of the other
ads and such on that site, against same sex marriage, and the fact that they are not only profiling the two children mentioned but also an MtF that has turned to prostitution to pay for her surgeries and an anti-GRS advocate (Charles Kane -- had MtF surgery, then back to FtM surgery) that uses his own misguided choice as a hard and fast rule that no one should be allowed... I think it'll be pretty angering myself.
I don't know how ABC will treat the topic
whether they'll be trotting out dissenting "expert" big Kenny Zucker one more time,
or what; but I don't think the site linked above itself is homo or transphobic.
The "anti" same sex marraige ad you saw was a pretty scathing parody.
What borders on stupidity?
Canada and Mexico.
.
SRSLY...
...go click on that Betty Bowers vid. It's a hoot.

My (Extra) Ordinary Family -- My Kid Is Transgender" Wednesd
Only a truly scientific view should be done such as on the Science Channel where ALL sides are given. Is there such a program?

All Sides??
When it comes to human rights, there is only one side.
With any luck, the days where people debate whether to allow full human rights and participation in society to gay people, or to transgender people are drawing to a close.

My (Extra) Ordinary Family
Oh, I wouldn't have noticed that if I hadn't seen your posting.
Here's what our online tv listing says:
Primetime Nightline: My (Extra) Ordinary Family
My Kid is Transgender
Description
A peek inside three families struggling to do right by their transgender kids. A 10-year-old boy already goes to school as a girl, a 15-year-old girl takes testosterone to make her more masculine, and a 19-year-old male gets surgery to become feminine.
That
Was way not worth staying up two extra hours to watch! I think we could have seen exactly the same thing two years ago. Yesterday's news.
I watched it, but I missed a Transguy taking T. Was it on? Maybe the local channel just replaced that segment with more ads.
Well... I stayed up, I'm the one who's dumb.

No, Not There
I watched it on the network's flagship station, WABC-TV in New York. The network left that segment out, and added or extended something else, I guess. Probably a last-minute edict from management to make the show friendlier to the haters, or something.
ABC is hardly a bastion of social liberalism. I was pretty disappointed in the show. It didn't have a clear narrative. The inclusion of the guy who had two sex-changes, and treating him as if he were an expert on the subject, on a level with the doctor who studies and treats transgender children, was pure nonsense. At most, he could supply anectdotal information on impulsive non-transexual 37-year-old men who opt for transition. Not children, and not transgender.

What drivel.
I Saw The Program
I saw the program and I must say that I was pretty impressed with it. The only one I didn't like was Charles, who flipped flopped back to being male after going through the Male to Female process. IMHO, he went through the process for all the wrong reasons and impulsively without going through enough of a mental evaluation to determine what his true motivations were. He thought he should be a voice of reason against T blockers. I would have thought he would endorse because they do allow for someone to change their mind without too much of a consequence. Just because he messed up, does not mean that everyone else is wrong for going forward with their own transitions. Anyway, I was so very impressed with Kim Petras. She really showed a lot of people that you can be beautiful and successful as a young transwoman. I have been a fan of her for a long time and the interview was wonderful. I think Cynthia McFadden(the reporter) was just as impressed with her. She is every bit the beautiful young woman she shows to the world.
