Greetings! I have been checking in daily with Big Closet in most of its past shapes and faces, and I finally came out of lurking through TG fiction and images sites last year when I launched my first Yahoo group Family TG Captions.

My interest in the genre has a decided twist. My favorite authors of the past decade have been Karen Elizabeth, Rachel Cooper, Hebe Dotson, Jennifer Sue, and Keshara (especially the epic Cresswell Industries)and my favorite stories all have a similar trend - where there are two or more members of the same family who undergo the transformation from male to female. "Family Changes" by Karen is probably my all-time favorite, as it takes a destitute man and his teenage son and they become a woman and her teenage daughter. It's all fantasy, lives are saved, they're mind blowingly beautiful, and they end up married, happy ever after, yadda yadda.

On my own, I imagine in my mind what the heroines Jacki (the dad/mom) and Lori (daughter nee son) looked like. I finally settled on Debra Messing as Jacki and Melissa Joan Hart as Lori, and in MS Word, I saved the story interlaced with JPGs of the actresses. Then I took it a step further and used Power Point to make a graphical storyboard - at about 112 pages. Here's an example:

Meet Jacki & Lori

I was also influenced by TG caption artists like BeckyS, Jen Derbender, and Lorna Samuels. Again, many of them used family characters, and I always gravitated to that kind of tale. Here's a great example from Becky's 6th group:

Mother and Daughter

So I decided to finally come out of the closet (pun INTENDED :p) and started my first Yahoo group. Before the size limits were increased, I decided to start 3 more:

FTGC 2 (Electric Boogaloo)

The Pageant (a multi-part epic on the concept that a Donald Trump like billionaire and his son became women, and decided to save the world through femininity)

FTGC Salutes where I post none of my creations but instead showcase family related caps from Yahoo and other sources.

I'd love to hear appreciation, critique, any kind of feedback - just never got that much on Y! so I kind of crave it. For a last treat, here is a sample of "The Pageant" - the characters are Amber, a 15 year old girl who had been a dysphoric boy and her mother Carrie, a Maine widower who cherishes Amber and went along with her child and changed her gender. Carrie is coming to grips with a feminine side she never knew she had, unlike Amber who has embraced it from the get-go. This cap is a one-off but the majority of The Pageant is serial form. Of course, you probably recognize pop star JoJo as Amber and the ultimate redhead, Marcia Cross, as Carrie.

Extra Extra

Thanks again for reading, and I look forward to being a good BigCloset err Monster :)

September update

OK after some pondering, and an excitement I'm feeling for having started a "writing career" here on TSBC and a few other sites, I decided to consolidate my Yahoo groups. FTGC group 2 and the Salute group will be closing in October.

The files in FTGC-2 will be transferred over to the first group - Family TG Captions. The Pageant is an ongoing mini-epic that eventually I may bring to here - but it's already a massive story that still has a long way to go.

The links for the 2 groups will continue to work for a while, so feel free to check it out and download anything you'd like - on the house :)

PS: My newest story Las Chicanas is in full caption mode on the main group site.
