Well, for those that don't generally follow sports, especially as practiced in the old world, there is great news! Manchester United fell to FC Barcelona in the UEFA Championship by a resounding 3-1. Barcelona owned the game, played in Wembley Stadium, from start to finish despite the antics of United's Wayne Rooney. Somebody ought to inform him he shouldn't start the celebrations until AFTER the game is over!
But as entertaining as his antics might have been to some, his goal was the only time MU scored as FC Barcelona outscored, outclassed, and out-played United.
Normally I wouldn't have watched this, but my GF lives in Barcelona!
And most of the above is but a pale shadow of what the Beeb had to say about the game. Apparently they are not big United fans!

This brings back fond memories
Barcelona is one of my all time absolute favorite cities (along with London and Tokyo.) Sad to think that it's been almost a decade since I was there. It's one of the most fun cities I have ever experienced, and the food is amazing.
The Olympic Stadium is a wonderful place for football or any track and field sport.
And there's this really cool little restaurant in the old city, Cal Pep's with some of the greatest food on Earth.
Not much to do with your comment, other than the stadium, but I just had to write.

It is also a nest of thieves
with one of the highest density of pickpockets and bag snatchers in Europe - but they are probably the greatest club side in football at the moment.
