So apparently Prince William is feeling pre-wedding nerves. He's also inviting everyone from the helicopter base where he's currently training to the wedding.
But evidently, that's not quite newsworthy enough for the Daily Wail (a far more appropriate name for the newspaper!). So they've done some digging and found one of his colleagues is transgendered... and yes, the tone of the article is about what you'd expect from that publication.

But hang on a minute - that story's not original. They even admit that they 'alf-inched it from The Sun (which, predictably enough, features photographs of Ayla / Ian).

Why are they always surprised with the number of trannies in the armed services? They go there to prove they're men and fail, or hope to get themselves killed and end their suffering. Only place with more trannies per square inch is the NHS.

I hadn't looked at the Sun's, I just sort of...assumed. I simply look at my own circumstances. I know of four other 'trannies' I may have worked with. One, that I am not sure I have actually worked with, but knows people I do, is Topsy, of this site, no secrets there. Two, I know I have definitely worked with, one of whom left in nasty circumstances. I just get on with things, though I have one, at least, possibly two, 'tranny chasers'.
Sorry to make this a 'me' comment, but my point is that one can never forecast how one will be received. What drives me upthe wall, regardless of how the comments unfold, is the whole Jerry Springer/Jeremy Kyle freak show attitude.
